Maybe they're referring to how your characters' portrait have masculine feature that they're not familiar to. (Round chin, long nose line, Small iris, maybe?)

BTW, I think not many people here can help you with the sprites or artwork. Most are occupied with their project. I wish you a good luck that you find a helping hand for your project though.

Gorgeous! I admire the effort you put into the map to make its atmosphere look unique. The barrels on the left look a bit out of place though. (For a bedroom.) Maybe you should put a working desk and a chair in their place?

The bedroom is the room of a ship's captain, and those are pieces of wood ^^

Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying. So it's a ship and you can see the sea from this room. Great!
